Our Team

Meet the Team

Our team is made up of 9 riders/racers.  We come from diverse backgrounds with highly varied daily gigs, but we all share a love of motorcycles.  We have all been/are coaches at the track.  Several of us teach the MSF licensing course.  Several of us build or repair motorcycles as well as customization and fabrication.  And of course, we all have our regular full time jobs as well.

Juan Gooch

The originator and Principle of Sinister Racing, Juan originally created the idea of the team in 2004.  It wasn't until 2014, when he teamed up with his co-founders (Original Sin), that the team became a reality.  The Sinister Minis Squad came into existence in 2021.  Sinister Racing, LLC as a company, creates apparel, decals, fabricates motorcycle parts, builds and customizes bikes.  Juan, aside from his normal job, also teaches the MSF courses and coaches at the track for Mid Atlantic Road Racing Club.

Mark Dickerson

Mark co-founded Sinister Racing and has been part of the team from the very beginning. He is our resident comedian, spokesperson, "Slow Race" organizer, DJ and one heck of a racer, including multiple Regional and National titles and competing twice in the Daytona 200.  "Dickey", as he is more commonly known, builds race bikes, repairs/builds/tunes scooters and other small engine vehicles, and dabbles in a bit of construction.

Mark Schweber

Mark co-founded Sinister Racing and has been part of the team from the very beginning. Mark is a stalwart rider/racer/coach. Mark is a coach with The Riders Club at NJMP.  I know very few people who are as committed to helping other racers and riders from the simplest to the most complex things.  Mark also has multiple Regional titles and has probably turned more laps as a coach than any of us. Mark is a Master Plumber with his own company and has a great business and work ethic.

The Team

Harry Wilson

As and Amateur and Expert, Harry earned multiple titles in multiple classes.  He participated in the Daytona 200, raced at tracks all along the East Coast and was a Coach for Motorcycle Xcitement.  Harry has retired from racing but is an avid rider and is available for street rider instruction in the Central Florida area.

Molly Calkins

Molly Calkins

As an Amateur and Expert racer, Molly was very impressive and had a very meticulous approach to her race craft.  She was amazing in the rain! Molly has retired from racing but is still an avid rider with amazing street and track skills.

As an Amateur and Expert, Eric was quite formidable on the track, winning multiple Championships. While Eric has retired from racing, he still participates in as many trackdays as possible.  He is a Road Racing coach for N2 in the North Florida area.  He is also a full time MSF Rider Coach.

Austin Cox

When Austin joined Sinister Racing, he was the youngest, but not the least experienced.  Coming From Cox Racen, Austin brought a wealth of talent and speed with him.  Austin left racing to start a family.  He is still available at track days for instruction and to lend a hand to any of the team that happen to be racing.  He can do the same for you.

Luigi Mora

As an Amateur and Expert, Luigi has been a force of nature.  Luigi has won titles on Big bikes, Little bikes, set lap records on Minis and is still as humble as ever.  He is an avid racer, winning titles in 3 different "Little Bike" classes, each of the past 5 years. He has recently participated in Endurance races as well.  Luigi owns an automotive and motorcycle repair shop in Laurel, MD.

Ashley Powell

Ashley joined Sinister Racing after establishing himself as a great Minis racer and then adding bigger bikes to his impressive resume.  Ashley has one multiple Class Championships and is incredibly talented.  Ashley is a coach for The Riders Club at NJMP
